Underwater Photography

Came across this great underwater photography article on Sarah Lee. It has some great shots, tips, and gear recommendations that I wanted to share with everyone. This has definitely been an area of photography I would like to explore further because it so far out of my ordinary realm. It defnitely has it's perks: being in the ocean, having to get more great camera gear, and getting a tan. New Canon Camera!!! EOS-1D W

Click here to view the new Canon EOS-1D W. It is designed in specifically for wildlife photographers in mind. It allows for super quick processing of 24fps of full Raw up to a buffer limit of 220. It has tons of really cool features from ultra low light sensitivity (204k) to automatic animal eye focus capability. It even comes camouflaged! Check the article out for more info which identify's a new camouflaged lens to match. Have to talk to the Mrs. about getting this one!

SLR Lounge

So, don't know that much about lenses? Here is a great little article from SLRlounge.com where they explain some of the variances between Canon lenses and the effects of compression and distortion. Sorry guys, no Nikon here. After all, Canon is the best, hehehehe. Alright, I kid a little. WPPI

It's been a while since we've last posted but we've been SOOOO busy! We recently attend WPPI where we learned great new business practices, posing techniques, books to read, and a host of other things that were currently incorporating into our business. It's been so tough to absorb all that we learned and want to accomplish that the task seems overwhelming. However, we're busting our butts to get everything in gear and provide even better photography than we did last year. It's so much fun to attend because it is in Las Vegas where the dining is great as well as all of the entertainment. Well, it's back to work.....until next time!

Cameras in for repair

Well it's finally the end of the slow season so it is time to have the cameras shipped back to CPS (Canon Professional Services) for a checkup and cleaning. These cameras have had their fair share of abuse so it's time they get a little preferential treatment. They should be back in no time ready for next weeks wedding which will kick us off for the next season! Excited to get going!

Cabo Family Trip

Cabo! Warm water, beautiful sunsets, and great Mexican food! We had a little vacation with my family recently down in Cabo San Lucas and it was a lot of fun. We ate, drink, and ate some more. The swimming was so pleasant as you floated on your back in 76 degree water with a gorgeous view of the jutting peninsula. If you haven't been, it can be very cheap and very worth it.

Dream Foundation Annual Gala Fundraiser

We had the privilege of photographing the Dream Foundation's Annual Gala Fundraiser where this year's honoree was Barry Manilow and guests such as Nigel Lythgoe from So You Think You Can Dance, Priscilla Presley, Alan Thicke, Bon Jovi's Richie Sambora, Olivia Newton-John, American Idol finalists, and more. It was a great night held at the amazing Bacara Resort and Spa in Goleta, CA on October 26th, 2013 with sponsorship by Carls Jr., Bacara, Bentley of Westlake, and Genentech. The evening's main cause was to bring awareness to the community and raise money for individuals and families going through life threatening illnesses who wouldn't be able to pay for simple things in life such as wheelchairs, plane tickets to see their loved ones, or something as small as an Ipad. The MC for the night was an energetic Andrew Firestone along with a hilarious Jane Lynch from Glee that helped raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for a great cause all while getting to listen to live performances from Olivia Newton-John, Richie Sambora, and Barry Manilow.
