Crescent Head

We had a great day yesterday! We left Hunter Valley and the wineries behind and headed North for Crescent Head. It was our first real beach we've seen since we've been here and it didn't disappoint. It had a huge bay with beautiful stretches of white sand beach that went as far as the eye could see. Also, there was a river outlet that the surf poured into creating a reverse river that flowed in toward land. We swam in that a lot and got swept away in the current a few times as we went. We laid out also and got absolutely fried. Not having sunscreen, we buried ourselves in the sand to ward off the sun. After that, we headed to our motel where we saw a herd of kangaroo's and got some great shots. All in all, it was a great day finished off by some homemade pizza coupled with a six pack of beer. Cheers!
