Dream Foundation Annual Gala Fundraiser

We had the privilege of photographing the Dream Foundation's Annual Gala Fundraiser where this year's honoree was Barry Manilow and guests such as Nigel Lythgoe from So You Think You Can Dance, Priscilla Presley, Alan Thicke, Bon Jovi's Richie Sambora, Olivia Newton-John, American Idol finalists, and more. It was a great night held at the amazing Bacara Resort and Spa in Goleta, CA on October 26th, 2013 with sponsorship by Carls Jr., Bacara, Bentley of Westlake, and Genentech. The evening's main cause was to bring awareness to the community and raise money for individuals and families going through life threatening illnesses who wouldn't be able to pay for simple things in life such as wheelchairs, plane tickets to see their loved ones, or something as small as an Ipad. The MC for the night was an energetic Andrew Firestone along with a hilarious Jane Lynch from Glee that helped raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for a great cause all while getting to listen to live performances from Olivia Newton-John, Richie Sambora, and Barry Manilow. Jay Leno and Misty May-Treanor

   

We had a great time photographing Jay Leno for the Sansum function a few weeks back. It was a benefit for the Cancer Center of Sansum and it was a great place for Mr. Leno to use his comic relief to help people laugh and raise over $1 million dollars for charity. He had everyone in the room in stitches as his famous, quick-witted, one-liners helped make the night a success. We also were able to listen to and photograph The Tonight Show band as they rocked the house til the end of the night.

     A few days later, Erica had the privilege of photographing 3 time Olympic gold medalist Misty May-Treanor. She was there to help a group of people from Liberty Mutual, who were staying at the Bacara Hotel, learn a few pointers for their game. She obviously scored points on and off the court.
