We recently just traveled North, about 9 hours, where we photographed a beautiful wedding which we'll be featuring in the coming weeks. However, the drive up was incredibly beautiful and opened our eyes to places we really didn't know were there. For example, we drove past a beautiful meadow where horses on a ranch were grazing. We stopped and approached the horses to view them better and to our surprise they came right up to us and allowed us to pet them. Also admired were the beautiful peaks, wild deer in a pasture, icy blue lakes, and the Tufa's of Mono Lake. We'll let the pictures hopefully speak for themselves. But the point we wanted to make is that sometimes great things are just around the bend and not too far of a drive if you make a weekend out of it.
