Crescent Head

We had a great day yesterday! We left Hunter Valley and the wineries behind and headed North for Crescent Head. It was our first real beach we've seen since we've been here and it didn't disappoint. It had a huge bay with beautiful stretches of white sand beach that went as far as the eye could see. Also, there was a river outlet that the surf poured into creating a reverse river that flowed in toward land. We swam in that a lot and got swept away in the current a few times as we went. We laid out also and got absolutely fried. Not having sunscreen, we buried ourselves in the sand to ward off the sun. After that, we headed to our motel where we saw a herd of kangaroo's and got some great shots. All in all, it was a great day finished off by some homemade pizza coupled with a six pack of beer. Meat Pie!!!!

We are in Hunter Valley (a couple of hours outside of Sydney) wine tasting. We ate at an amazing restaurant where we had our first meat pie. It had an amazing flaky pastry crust with your choice of a wine reduction sauce beef or a mustard seed infused chicken. Both were out of this world good as you can see by the photo. We also saw our first Kangaroo's today but they were too fast for our iPhone cameras so we'll update you later when we can connect our laptop. Next stop is the coast and we'll be sure to post soon; til next time!

Sydney!!!!!!

We are in The Lord Nelson's bar; the oldest bar in Sydney getting a couple pints of beer and a "shrimp on the" pizza (instead of Barbie). This place is amazing!!! Sydney is really great too with wonderful people, great restaurants, and spectacular views!

Australia here we come!

Napa Valley

Recently had a road trip to Napa Valley with my wife and her parents and it was fantastic. We stayed at mineral hot springs, had fancy wine tastings, and insanely great food! We had a blast. On the way up, however, we saw a mini junkyard full of old boats and cars. This shot was a particular favorite. The rusty metal and the bright green grass make for a neat look.
